Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, Adyar celebrated Matribhasha Diwas on 21st February, 2023 with great interest and enthusiasm.
Students of class VI – IX unlocked their hidden skills by expressing their passion for the language with their speech, songs, dance, drama and painting in Sanskrit, Hindi and Tamil.
The programme started with prayer song – ‘Thamizhthai vaazthu’ followed by songs in Hindi, Tamil and Sanskrit with instrumental music, speech in Hindi, group dance for the tamil song “Semmozhiyaam Tamizh mozhi” and concluded by a play in Sanskrit titled “Tvameva janani bhava”, a small episode from “Urubhanga of bhasa’which is based on Mahabharata.
