Mumbai Speech and Debate League (MSDL)

Shree Radha Sanjay, a Grade 10 student, along with her teammates, won the Mumbai Speech and Debate League (MSDL) Finals held at IIT Mumbai on 20th July 2025. The tournament, conducted in the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) format, saw participation from around 40 senior category teams (Grades 9–12) across India and was organized by the Indian Debating League in association with the IIT Mumbai Debating Society. As winners, the team received certificates and trophies from IIT Mumbai, a direct qualification to the Harvard College Debating Union Invitational debate rounds and a full scholarship for a 3-day Harvard Debate Boot Camp scheduled for August 2025 in Jaipur, including a registration fee waiver worth ₹15,000 per participant.

The Harvard competition, which will host over 100 teams and 350+ students, serves as the gateway to India’s representation at the Harvard WSDC in 2026.
