International Teenage Art & Design Awards 2025

The finals of the prestigious International Teenage Art and Design Awards 2025 took place in Busan, South Korea, from 1st to 5th August. Organized by the Korean Art Association and coordinated by the InKo Centre, Chennai, the event brought together over 80 young talents from India, Korea and Japan, fostering artistic expression and cross-cultural exchange. Representing Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, Adyar, students Sahana Arvindkumar (XI B), Kayalvizhi Pavendan (XI B) and Nivedita Satyanarayanan (X B) showcased exceptional creativity on an open theme platform. Following the formal inauguration on 2nd August, graced by ambassadors from participating nations, students took part in the main four-hour competition, producing powerful artworks across diverse mediums. Their efforts were later assessed by a distinguished international jury.

At the closing ceremony, held the next day, the Indian contingent earned significant recognition. Sahana Arvindkumar of Std XI was awarded the Gold for India, while Kayalvizhi Pavendan of Sts XI received an Honourable Mention and Nivedita Satyanarayanan of Std X secured the Bronze Prize. Every participant’s artwork was celebrated, reflecting the event’s commitment to nurturing young voices in art beyond competitive rankings. The five-day event also included enriching educational tours to museums and cultural landmarks across Korea, adding a deeper layer of global learning. Concluding on 6th August, the experience left students inspired, fostering intercultural appreciation and building bridges between young artists across Asia.
