Independence Day Celebrations 2025

The 79th Independence Day celebrations at our school were a grand affair, spanning two weeks from August 5th. The festivities engaged students from all grades, offering a rich variety of activities.

The celebrations began with students penning heartfelt letters to soldiers. These letters were personally delivered to the Indian Armed Forces Camp in Pallavaram by representatives of the Interact Club. As a gesture of gratitude for their unwavering service, students also tied rakhis to the soldiers. In addition, our young Picassos and Leonardos channelled their patriotism into vibrant artworks that adorned the school corridors and walls, filling the atmosphere with pride and colour.

The main event on August 15th commenced with the Flag Hoisting ceremony followed by a soulful rendition of the Flag Song. The school choir then presented a harmonious medley of patriotic songs, after which the NCC cadets impressed the audience with their disciplined and dignified March Past.

The Principal, Mrs. Vidyalakshmi S, addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative as a powerful pathway to support India’s growth and self-reliance. The student performances that followed brimming with talent, passion and dedication, captivated the audience, evoking a deep sense of unity and patriotism.
