The inaugural edition of Sanskruthi 2025, an inter-school music competition celebrating the richness of Carnatic music, was hosted by the school in November 2025. The event was organised under the guidance of the music teacher, Smt. Usha Vishwanathan. The judging panel renowned musicians Smt. Amritha Murali and Sri Ashwath Narayanan, shared meaningful feedback, inspiring participants to uphold the classical tradition with sincerity.
The first place was awarded to Kedarnath Subramanian of PSBB KK Nagar, who also received a cash prize of Rs 25,000. The second place went to V. S. Abirami of Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, who received Rs 15,000 and the third place to Bhargava B of PSBB KK Nagar, who received Rs 10,000. The Managing Trustee, Shri N Kumar, graciously announced a cash prize of Rs 2,000 to the other participants.
Akshayaa Raghuraman of Class 11, accompanied by Vybhav Shyv of Class 10 on the violin and Vedant of Class 6 on the mridangam, presented a host performance of a Harikatha on the “Mahavatam of Thyagaraja Swami.”
The gathering was honoured by the chief guest, the renowned Kalaimamani Dr. O. S. Arun, who expressed his happiness and great appreciation for the school management for hosting such an event and promoting the traditional art form.
