Eco Club/ WWF conducted a session on account of International Tiger conservation day (29th July). It was held in our school auditorium on 8th July. Students of class 7th were present for the session. The resource persons were Mr S. Saravanan State Coordinator, WWF India and Mr N. Ravi Kumar Assistant Coordinator, WWF India.
The session focused on explaining why tigers have to be conserved and how WWF has been doing the same. The resource person Mr S. Saravanan explained about WWF and why this year is themed as the year of tigers. Following the talk, Prize announcements and distributions for Tiger conservation day card making competition which was conducted for class 6, 7 and 8 students on 5th July took place.
