As part of Eco club and Bio- Biotech a guest lecture was organised on 30.07.18 for students of class XI on ‘Scope of Biotechnology’ and ‘Conservation of Nature’ for students of class VII by Dr. S. Rega HOD of Biotechnology department, Kumarani Meena Muthiah College of Arts and Science.

Class VII children took an oath for conserving nature.

On the same day, Bhoomi initiative volunteers Mr. Abhijath and team gave orientation to Class VII and Class VIII on waste management, segregation of waste in red bin and green bin and how to compost organic waste effectively. As a follow up activity, 3 members were elected as eco-champs from VII and VIII std and other Eco club members from VII and VIII std are canvassing students from std 6 to 8 for bringing organic wastes, and engage in composting process.
