The Annual Day of Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School was celebrated on 14 th July, 2023 at The Music Academy. Mr T S Tirumurti (IFS Retd), Former Ambassador of India to the United Nations, was the chief guest.
The evening began with a prayer song sung by the students. Smt Mita Venkatesh, Senior Principal, delivered the welcome address. The Senior Principal and the Principal, Smt.  Vidyalakshmi S presented the Annual Report highlighting the activities and achievements of the school during the last year. Mr T S Tirumurti then addressed the gathering. He appreciated the students for their achievements in various fields and commended the school for providing opportunities for them to do so. He then distributed prizes to the meritorious students for their performance in the Std X and XII board examinations. This was followed by a colourful cultural programme consisting of classical and contemporary music performance, plays in English and Tamil, a mime and classical, fusion, western and contemporary dance performances.
The school has completed over 53 years in the service of education.
