Anna University, Chennai, under the department of science and technology (DST), had organized an intensive three-week long orientation camp-Vigyan Jyoti from May 16th to June 5th for girl students, to provide guidance on opportunities in science and technology. The camp was attended by 20 students from various schools of Tamilnadu. Anusha Suresh and Harshini Raju of class XII from our school attended the program. Students were introduced to various fields in science and technology like leather, ocean, etc. Students attended 31 class room sessions and 15 lab sessions presented by renowned scientists from various institutions.
