Class 9 and 10 students from Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School participated in a temple cleaning activity on August 14, 2023 as a Heritage Club initiative in partnership with Ramakrishna Mutt, Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan in Chennai, and YACD Trust.

The guiding principle of this program was “Service to God is Service to Man.” Students from Sri Sankara School were assigned to clean the Siddi Vinayagar temple in Besant Nagar. Children eagerly participated in cleaning the space assigned to them using cleaning supplies provided by Ramakrishna Mutt. Children swept the temple’s floor, walls, and storage area. For the students, it was a beautiful experience, and they had fun doing it.
