National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) conducted an ‘All India School Level Quiz Competition’ on ‘India Tourism, Hospitality, Heritage and Culture’.  

Sanjeev and R. Sivaa of Std XI, qualified and represented the South Zone in the final round, hosted in the campus of NCHMCT, Noida, in February 2024. They represented the South Zone in the final round and secured a roughly fought second position. The event saw 12000 participants from all across the country vying for a spot in the final round. Mr. K B Kachru, Board member of Radisson Hotel Group, South Asia, Mr. Gyan Bhushan, CEO, NCHMCT, Chef Manjit Singh Gill, MD, Ecogreen Hospitality, graced the final round of the quiz. Team Sankara, representing the South Zone of India, won a cash prize of Rupees 50,000. The school was also awarded for sending the maximum entries for the competition and Mrs Kavitha Anand, Assistant Vice Principal, received the ‘Best Mentor Teacher Award’ in recognition of her contribution to the team’s performance. The students and the teacher coordinator were also treated to a tour of Agra and Delhi in the days that followed the finals.
