The Interact Club organised the observance of the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on Monday 14th August, 2023 in the School auditorium with the students of Std VIII.
The students were all given flags which they waved with patriotic vigour while in the audience of a patriotic musical performance by C R Mayura from XII C and a fervent speech by Chethas Aditya from XI D about the significance and historical importance of this day of melancholy and retrospection. The students were also shown a presentation and video which depicted the mass exodus and its horrifying impacts on the populace and how it still continues to shape and influence the region. The students left with the message of learning of the horrors of the past to build a better and more peaceful future.
An exhibition was also organised on this theme to remember the tragedy and agony of the partition, honour the memories of those affected, and raise awareness about the historical significance of this event.
