Anirudhh Shankar was one among the 60 students (3 from Tamil Nadu) who were selected to attend Pradhan Mantri Innovative Learning Programme: Dhruv, organised by the Department of Education and Literacy which comes under Ministry of Human Resource Development. It was inaugurated in Bengaluru and the camp was held in New Delhi in October. The aim of the programme was to enrich the skills and knowledge of gifted children by renowned experts in different fields. Participants visited the control station of Indian Space Research Organisation in Bengaluru. They also visited Indian Music Experience, a museum in Bengaluru. They got an opportunity to learn from artists Sudhanshu Bahuguna, Ilangovan Govindarajan, Sivamani, Subash Ghai, Wissifuddin Sagar and Mohit Chauhan.
