The 16th edition of SANMUN 2021 was hosted on 28th and 29th August 2021 in the online mode. 116 students from 20 schools across India participated in the 2-day conference. Ms Sarah Kirlew, Australia’s Consul General to South India was the Chief guest.

There were 4 committees that included United Nations Human Rights Council, United Nations Security Council, African Union and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Students actively participated in discussions and deliberations over different agenda covering issues on Drug overdose and drug abuse with special emphasis on the Opioid epidemic in the American continents, implementation of the belt and road initiative in Africa, protecting the rights of the minorities with special emphasis on religious and indigenous minorities, etc.
