The Interact Club organised an interactive speaker and interview session on the occasion of Women’s Equality Day, in August, 2022. The speaker was Dr. Sujatha Srinivasan, a professor in mechanical engineering, IIT Madras. Dr Sujatha was awarded Women Scientist of the Year (2022) by Technology Development Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The session was aimed at painting a true picture of what ‘Women’s Equality’ meant. Dr. Sujatha spoke on various issues such as modern feminism, women equality among the youth, unbiased views towards gender equality, etc, based on the questions put forth by the club members.
