On the occasion of World Interact Week, the Interact Club, in collaboration with the Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI), organised an inter school-interact event, ‘Lake Safari’, in October, 2022. The interactors from various schools were taken on a tour around the Sholinganallur lake, by the EFI volunteers. The event aimed at understanding the features of the lake and the different migratory birds endemic to the area. The interactors engaged not only with each other, but also with nature. Through this event, the interactors learnt how to effectively coordinate and communicate with each other and understood the importance of conserving India’s precious water bodies.
